Clio Area High School Reviews

Clio High School is an amazing place to earn a well rounded education. As a student there, I experience all that it has to offer. I know that the teachers there are preparing me for the future with a good education and sincere knowledge of the outside world. For the most part, the teachers really care about their students and want them to suceed. I also have to mention that Senora Yue, the Spanish teacher, is the best around, and she is an excellent teacher, along with many many others.

I attended Clio schools from kindergarten until 9th grade. It was a great dissapointment when I left. The school I attend now is too laid back and in the two years attending I have felt I haven't learned anything. Clio really challenges kids to succeed. Everyone seems to get along so much better at Clio High School then the school I attend now. Everyone is able to get along with everyone else. It's a great environment. Many current students may not realize it, as I didn't when I was there, but compared to other schools Clio is excellent. I would love to go back. I feel my education was much better there and overall Clio exceeds the school I go to now not only in teacher quality but also in curriculumn and environment. Sometimes the Administration may not please everyone but in the end their desicions do benefit the schools.

There is nothing about older teachers that prevents them from teaching. I attending Clio High School and many of the older teachers are the only ones who make demands, who expect hard work from their students and involvement from parents. When I was there the problem was primarily younger teachers, who made great friends and mentors, but who demanded very little actual work from their students. Clio was a great school, and when we moved for my senior year I was sorely dissapointed with the choices I had. All of the money and new buildings in Northern Michigan didn't change that I had already taken ALL the classes. Clio challenges their students more than any of the schools I have been to to worked for, and that is owed in large part to the teachers who many feel should retire.

Clio is not the highest in the county with academics. It is towards the bottom, maybe in the middle, but definatly not the top. I know Grand Blanc is the highest in the county, because it is one of the highest in the state, i would say with maybe davison a close second? I don't know about that, but i know Grand Blanc is the highest.

I graduated from Clio high in 2001, and was not happy with the administration at that point. I hope that this school has made some changes. There were some incredible teachers in this school, but I must admit they were few and far between. The physical school seemed outdated as well as some of the teaching practices.

There are only a few great teachers at this school. Younger teachers who are equipped with new techniques and actually like what they are doing and can handle the students should be employed. Communication with the students by the faculty is not good enough. Oftentimes, the students, for whom the school is meant to serve, seem to have no idea as to what is occuring. The school needs some help and the administration is afraid to address the problem. Communication is the the main problem and definitly needs to be worked on. Overall, the school obtains only an okay status because although it does posess a few good systems and qualities, the bad ones seem to overshadow them.

I am a student at the high school! Let me tell you, this school is awsome! Some teachers really need to retire but other than that the school is great! Keep up the good work and my kids will be attending this school!

We are very fortunate to have dedicated teaches and excellent support staff in Clio. the high school especially rates higher than other high schools in this county.

I don't think Clio teachers know how to handle there kids. I also beleive that any teacher older should retire they need a younger generation in the schools becuase I also think that the kids learn more when they have a younger teacher or parental guideance!

This is a great school with excellent teachers. The principal was very involved with the students and cared about their safety and well-being. The school had minimal bullying of any sort, it was just a very positive environment for me when I attended in 97-2001. My kids will definately attend all Clio Area Schools.
