Mark Dantonio resigned as Michigan State's head coach last week and Mel Tucker of Colorado was just hired to succeed him. The Herald - Times has confirmed Ron Burton will no longer be joining IU as defensive department coach. Burton, who coached linebackers at IU from 1997 to 2001, will be replaced by Mark Hagen, who was recently hired as defensive line coach at Texas, which is in the midst of its first full-time coaching staff since the end of the 2012-13 season, and Burton will hope to build on that momentum. He helped drive the development of some of Indiana's best defensive linemen in recent years, including most recently Elkhart Lake High School defensive lineman and former Indiana State defensive coordinator Chris Kowalski.
Del Valle is also a strong contender for the position of Michigan State's most defensive player, and the Wolverines offered him earlier this month. IU also had good success with defensive tackle Damarjhe Lewis, who has a 1.80-meter frame and a 4.5-inch vertical jump.
The 1953 Central Michigan Indoor Meet became the largest indoor athletics tournament in the history of the University of Michigan athletics program. The meeting was scheduled for the spring run at 8: 05 p.m., and the game against Arizona State was played April 22 at Michigan State University Athletics Center in Tempe, Ariz.

The 2018-2019 team finished first in the national championships, ahead of all other regional competitions this season. Burton's team also won the Division III championship in the first year of the competition in 2018-19. For the first time in history, the team also brought home a national championship trophy for the GVSU dance and jubilation teams.
In 2016, GVSU enjoyed even greater success when it finished third in the NCAA Division III Dance Championship at the national dance championships. In high school, Burton was also a member of the East Kentwood Varsity Dance Team, which placed first in all scores. Burton graduated from GvSU in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in public policy from the University of Michigan.
Leon became the first Flint football player to lead the nation in rushing average (1.8 yards per carry) and lead the league with 96 points. He also led the American Football League with an average return of 28.4 yards, the league's second-best return average.
A car accident nearly ended Leon's career in 1954, but he recovered and enrolled at Arizona State University in 1955. He went to Canada for a year and returned in 1958 for the N.Y. Titans of the American Football League (AFL). Leon played in the NFL for the New York Giants (1958-59) and New England Patriots (1960-61). He also played for the N & Y Titans in 1960 and '61 and for the San Francisco 49ers (1961-62) for two seasons.
Now that the quarantine is officially over and schools are allowed to take visitors, Burton mentioned that Michigan is one of the most important schools he wants to visit, and may even take Dunlap on the trip. Burton said he has recently made a few virtual visits to schools across the country, and other programs are working to sell him their schools, though he is not ready to enter campus yet. I'm really excited that he's vindicated his decision to play for Michigan, "Burton said.
Burton also mentioned that the young Harbaugh is a reliable coach with a good sense of humor and that he is a great recruiter. In particular, Burton mentioned the quality of education and facilities in Michigan, which are other attractive factors for blue-chip prospects, a quality that has been attractive to top-50 prospects for 22 cycles.
One of his proteges is Jake Paulson, who became one of the most successful linebackers in Michigan football history, winning three first-team titles.
